Grade 10BC Semester 1-2010 Music Students

Summary of Semester 1-Music Class:

1. What I think about this semester's curriculum is useful. I especially like the singing tasks and other assessments. The topic that Mr. Herry taught us is very useful for us to improve our music knowledge.
About Mr. Herry: 
+ He is a strict person, he taught us to be on time and to be responsible in our tasks and assessments. He is also fun, he lets us have some fun in several times.
- He gave us too much tasks

2. In Semester 1 during Music curriculum we learnt about a lot of things, there's alot of interesting activities. The activities in group are helping us to communicate with the others and the exercise helped us to prepare for the assessment, but they could add a hearing exercises. I work hard in this semester.
My theory and instrument teacher is the same, I think he is really helpful because he tried everything he had to help his students. His teachings are also easy to understand. He could loosen up a bit when teaching because I think he is too strict.

3. I really enjoy music class and I had a lot of fun. The curriculum is actually good enough and it is very interesting to study. However, what i think is not necessary is to upload 2 videos to blog each week because it's very hard.
Both my instrument and theory teacher is Mr Herry and I think he is a very good teacher and funny as well. However, i think he is quite strict so I think he should loosen that up a bit

4. In Semester 1, I've done a lot of exercise and tasks. I think the curriculum that we've learned in semester 1 is good and very useful especially for playing piano, such as scales. My teacher for theory and instrument class is the same, Mr. Herry. I think he is a kind teacher and very patient when teaching me playing piano. But, he is a strict teacher. I think he should be flexible.

5. I think the curriculum is good although I think there's too much assessment and reflexion.I think the curriculum can improve by reducing the number of assessments. I think the teacher is quiet good. The class is also good except there's too much theory and there's only a little time or even no time to play our instrument. The class can improve by adding more instrument time.

6. In Semester 1, I've learned about many things. I'm so happy with it. What I think about this Semester is this Semester is so useful. Because, in this Semester I've learned about how to create a song, how to sing properly, how to perform in a good way, and about world music genre, so i know more about world music genres.
My music teacher, which is Mr. Herry is very kind and he also strict sometimes, but sometimes he made a joke that actually is not funny.

7. I think about Semester 1 music curriculum it's fun and I can know more about music,knowledge. It is fun because I love music. Without music we can't express our felling. Also Mr. Herry is a good teacher, he can support us with his strict. Not to much about the bad part I think.
I think about my music teacher instrument that is Mr. Harry. He is a good man, can help us to learn better. Music it's fun.

8. In this Semester 1 in music class curriculum I think It's very interesting. Because I can learnt so many genres ofWorld music genre.
In music class I think the teacher are strict but they are nice. I have learned so many things in this Semester 1

10 BD Piano Students

My Strengths and Weaknesses according to my piano students Semester 2- 09
#1:
Mr. Herry Rajasa is a nice person, wise, good at piano. He is the most strict music teacher. He gave us a lot of lessons in music. His strength is his strictness. This make students afraid of him. However he can understand the weakness and strengthness of his students. He has ability on piano stuffs. His weakness is sometime got moody. He could do better if he is more kind and friendly. Overall he is a good teacher.

Mr. Herry Rajasa  is nice and has a really high musicality. he is a really good pianist and as a teacher he is really wise. His strength is good sense of music and great music skills. His weakness is sometime get moody although not many times. He could do better if he listen to others more and improve his English. Overall He is a really good music teacher :)

Mr. Herry Rajasa is very patient during our practice. I made so many mistakes but he never got mad. He is also very strict and discipline. His strength is he is very professional at playing piano. His weakness is his high temper when the students are very noisy. He could do better if he teach more or focus to the students who wasn't good enough at playing piano and not moody. Overall he is very good teacher and teach very professionally.

Mr. Herry Rajasa has good skill and talented. He is strict, wise and cares a lot about education. He could do better if he is not temper and improve his english. Overall he is nice and sometimes can be fun when he is not angry.

Mr. Herry Rajasa is my piano teacher who taught me from 7th grade till now. His strengths is he could teach both practical and theory well. I can easily understand what his teaching to us. His weakness is he easily lost his temper when teaching noisy class. He could do better if he calms down. Overall he is a good teacher but easily loses his temper.

Mr. Herry Rajasa is a very strict music teacher. His strength is he does piano well, nice and wise. His weakness is be mad easily. He could do better if he can control his temper a little and 

improve on his english so that the students will be able to understand what his talking about earlier. Overall he is nice but needs to control his temper

Mr. Herry Rajasa is my music teacher, piano instrument since grade 7 till now. He is very patient when we are doing many mistakes and tried to teach us until we got the hang of it. He is very strict and discipline to all of us. His strengths are very patient in teaching us,professional piano player and wise. His weakness are giving too many assessments,moody when students are noisy, less playing time for the class and always video-ing uswhen we're performing. He could do better if he teaches more popular musics to students and give less homework or assessments. And also if he could teach us less tricky chords and finger exercises. Overall he is a good teacher and students will develop faster with his teachings.

Grade 7C Piano

My Strengths and Weaknesses according to my piano students Semester 2- 09

#1:

Mr. Herry is a pretty good teacher. He explains well and helps us to improve playing our song in multiple methods. Mr. Herry is good at showing us how to play piano correctly. This method of teaching by playing the whole song that before asking us to learn it helps a lot. He is quite good at explaining the major scales. He is a bit too strict, and a bit too talkative. He is also quite slow at finding the right word when he says something. He could do better if he makes sure that the whole class understands the lesson because some at my classmates have a hard time doing their homework. He is a good teacher but it would be better if he would speak more clearly. Also not to give us too many homeworks.

Mr. Herry Rajasa is a good teacher. Well yeah, he's too strict but he is kind. His skill in playing the piano is impressive and nice. He is talkative and he takes several things too seriously sometimes. He couild do better if he gives us less breaches and less homework. I'd like that. :)

Overall he is a great teacher

Mr. Herry Rajasa is a good teacher, but he is too talkative to us. But actually he is kind. His strength is he can play piano nicely. His weakness is he is talkative and strict. He could do better if he doesn't give us too much homework in theory and practical class. Also dont give us breach.

Overall he gives us too much homework and too strict!

Mr. Herry Rajasa is a good teacher, but he is kind of boring. His strength is he plays new song easily. His weakness is he is too strict and he doesn't give many songs. He could do better if he give us nice songs.

Grade 10E Piano students

My Strengths and Weaknesses according to my piano students Semester 2- 09

#1:

I think that Mr. Herry is a good music teacher because he always teaches us in detail, both in theory as well as in instrument. He is a very good pianist and a professional too. He is very good in playing classic, in pop, as well as in improvisations (Jazz). Also because he is strict, we can all study well, like when the other music class don't really study, our piano class already understand what to do, and Mr. Herry teaches already until we understand. Though in most of our instrument classes we practice until we're bored, but on the assessment day, almost all of us did perfectly, without doing extra practice other than in other instrument class. Even though I've study with him almost more than two years, I still get so much skills and knowledge, and I don't know how to repay

Mr. Herry's teaching in both theory and instrument class is good. He is understandable, patient with slow learners and passionate about music. He is disciplined, sometimes to the point where it's annoying, but he cares about his student's performance in his subject. His only weakness, is that sometimes he is strict to a topic that is unclear. He can do better by being a bit relax so that the student's emotion can flow through the music but not so relax as to let the class get chaotic

I think that Mr. Herry is a good teacher in theory class and also in practical class. His strength is that he can explain things well when he teaches. Also he can play piano very well and I enjoyed having him as my teacher. Mr. Herry doesn't have many weaknesses, but his main weaknes is that sometimes he can be strict for reasons that are unimportant and that could make us as his students dislike him as a teacher. 

He could improve by being more reasonable with students and be strict for reasons that are actually important. Other than that, I enjoyed having Mr. Herry as my Music Teacher for almost 4 years.

According to me Mr. Herry is a good music teacher. He is a professional pianist. His knowledge about music is good, but he is also very discipline. No wonder there are many students get breaches if they're late or wear uniform inproperly. Besides piano, he also can play violin, I think. So to me, Overall, he's good as a music teacher.

For me, Mr. Herry is a good piano teacher. He can play the piano very well and he is very good at it. When i ask something at how to play some part  on the piano, he teaches us how to play it patiently. But I think he is a strict and discipline teacher. He record every little mistakes as a breach. But overall I think he's a good teacher.

#6:

According to me, Mr. Herry is a good teacher in music class. Some of his strength are he is very knowledgable in music, he has many experiences in music and is a very good, clear and hardworking teacher both in music theory class and in our practical class. 

What strikes me the most is his patience towards the class. When the students get all noicy and misbehaving, he could still keep his patience and work with the class still in harmony. What I like most about him and what I admire most about Mr. Herry is his very talented ability to play amazing pieces on the piano. When the plays piano I wish that I can play piano just like him. Although he's a great teacher he may have some weaknessess like for example sometimes I am not able to understand his accent, and he sometimes he gives out many tasks...

#7:

According to me, Mr. Herry Rajasa is quite a good music teacher. I think he is a good teacher but also very strict. Sometimes  he scold the students for an unimportant cause. Mr. Herry has strenghts and weakness as a music teacher. 

His first strength is that he's hard-working and never give up. For example if a student doesn't get the topic yet, he will explain it again until he student understands it. Another strength of Mr. Herry is he teaches us using easy way rather than the hard way, so we can understand better. 

Mr. Herry also has some weaknesses. One of his weakness is he doesn't speak English very well. When he explains a topic, I sometimes don't get it. But overall, I think he's a quite nice and good music teacher.
